Dr. Gobinda Biswas is a highly accomplished Associate Professor in the Department of Burn and Plastic Surgery at Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital, Sylhet.

Education and Credentials

Dr. Biswas holds a specialization degree, an MS (Plastic Surgery), obtained from Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University in January 2019, Dhaka, Bangladesh. His foundational medical training, MBBS, was completed at Sher E Bangla Medical College, Barisal, under the University of Dhaka in May 2005. He is a fully registered medical professional in Bangladesh, holding a Bangladesh Medical Registration No.- A 43772 from the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC), and was registered as a Specialist Plastic Surgeon by the BMDC in 2019.

Professional Experience

Currently, Dr. Biswas serves as an Associate Professor in Burn and Plastic Surgery. His career includes working as an Assistant Professor (Plastic Surgery) at the Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery. Previously, he held the position of Assistant Registrar at Dhaka Medical College Hospital, serving under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.

Training and Professional Activities

Dr. Biswas has enriched his expertise with international professional training in several institutions:

• Fellowship training at Tokyo Women’s Medical University, Japan. 

•  

  Training at Singapore General Hospital, Singapore. 

•  

  Training in Burn surgery in China. 

He is an active member of the professional community, holding membership in the Society of Plastic Surgeons of Bangladesh and the Asia Pacific Burn Association. 

His academic contributions include:

• 05 Journal publications. 

• Participation in 01 International/Overseas conference (with 01 invited presentation) and 06 National conferences. 

•  

  01 International Scientific Presentation. 

Dr. Biswas’s special interests include Teaching, Research, Publication, and Travelling.
